Here are the categories of charitable giving that we have historically funded:

Youth activities in areas of deprivation; advice services; foodbank service provision

 

 

Youth development projects; First Aid training; extra curricular activities; volunteer training costs (eg safeguarding, health & safety)

 

 

Defibrillators; hospital equipment; dialysis unit; cancer unit;  contribution to cost of counselling/therapy sessions; First Aid training; hospices for the terminally ill; activities for people with dementia and their carers; support for young carers

 

Community events such as Newbury Carnival, Hungerford Victorian Event, Stockfest, CultureFest; repair/refurbishments of community buildings; playground equipment; youth clubs and activities, equipment for scouts/guides/brownies; venue hire; volunteer training costs (eg safeguarding, health & safety); improvements to church halls/buildings with wide community use

 

Newbury's Outdoor Events programme; Culture-fest; Production costs for music events; musical instruments; local theatre group productions costs; venue hire; artiste fees for charity productions; science programmes in local primary and secondary schools

 

Sports equipment (not clothing); cricket nets; refurbishment of sports pavilions/shower rooms; sports event trophies; sports coaching; floodlighting; sports buildings and grounds; grounds maintenance equipment

 

Multi cultural events; CultureFest

 

 

Restoration of Greenham Common; Enviromental improvements to local areas; Flood alleviation schemes; Construction of wildlife pond as a learning resource; Restoration of ancient meadow and wildwood

 

Youth clubs and activities in deprived areas;  contribution to costs of counselling/therapy sessions; transport for elderly or infirm; advice services; accommodation/playschemes/workskill programmes for people with learning disabilities

 

Bird watching hides; feeding stations; bird food; bird ringing; funding for protected species

 

 

Refurbishment to Royal British Legion Club, replacement vehicle/equipment for rapid response teams
