The Trees/Hedging
We are unable to guarantee supplies of a particular type of tree however they will be indigenous to the United Kingdom and are likely to be of the following varieties:
Trees: Silver Birch (Betula pendula), Downy Birch (Betula pubescens), Cherry (Prunus avium, Prunus padus), Oak (Quercus robur), Pussy Willow (Salix caprea), Rowan (Sorbus aucuparia).
Hedging: Dog-rose (Rosa canina), Elder (Sambucus nigra), Dogwood (Cornus sanguinea), Spindle (Euonymus europaeus).
Tree/Hedging: Field Maple (Acer campestre), Hazel (Corylus avellana), Hawthorn (Crataegus monogyna), Crab Apple (Malus sylvestris), Blackthorn (Prunus spinosa).

The trees will be supplied bare rooted and will need to be planted promptly after delivery or “heeled in” until you are ready to plant them. Spirals and canes will also be provided.

When will I know if my application has been successful?

You will receive an email from Greenham Trust notifying you of your allocation by mid September.
Can you deliver the trees?

Deliveries can be arranged subject to quantity and area. You will be contacted by Growing2gether once the trees have arrived in November.
I would like to apply for trees to plant in Autumn 2024, how do I do this?

We will be inviting applications for trees to plant in Autumn 2024, from July onwards. If you would like us to contact you when we are collating our order for Autumn 2024, please read the terms and conditions, and if eligible, click on the link “Register Interest” to be added to our mailing list. You will then be contacted when the Application Form is live.
Is there a maximum number of trees I can apply for?

The number of trees will depend on the area of land available for planting, however there is no maximum limit
I would like a tree to plant in my garden, is this possible?

We are providing free trees to schools, councils, charities and community groups for public/community spaces. If you would like to purchase a tree to plant in your private garden please contact Growing2gether who will be pleased to help
Can I apply for trees to donate to a third party?

Unfortunately not, trees should be planted by the organisation who applies for them.
I have already received some trees in previous years, can I apply for more in Autumn 2024?

Yes you can. Priority will be given to applicants who have not yet received any trees, but applications will be considered from community groups who would like more trees, subject to availability.
