Greenham Trust celebrates its 25th Anniversary

Greenham Trust held a celebratory evening at The Post Barn on Tuesday 11th October to mark its 25th Anniversary.  Approximately 80 colleagues, trustees and key influencers past and present gathered together for a drinks reception to celebrate the achievements of the Trust since its inception in 1997.

Charles Brims, Chairman of the Trust, spoke and highlighted the great foresight of Sir Peter Michael in creating the Trust, and the contribution of Stuart Tagg, the first Chief Executive, who guided the Trust through its early years.

Chris Boulton, CEO of the Trust, said it was an evening of thank yous to Sir Peter Michael, Stuart Tagg and all the employees, trustees and contributors who had made the Trust what it is today.  He highlighted the huge growth in the property portfolio which has enabled the Trust to support hundreds of charities and community organisations since 1997.  Chris also spoke about the significant global events which have impacted on how the Trust responds to local needs firstly with the Coronavirus pandemic and currently with the Cost of Living Crisis for which the Trust has created an appeal with £50,000 of matched funding available from both Greenham Trust and West Berkshire Council.

Speaking after the event, Chris Boulton said “We felt it was important to acknowledge the development of the Trust and its contribution to the local community over the last 25 years.  It was great to see so many people who have all been involved in some way in this success story.  We look forward to the next 25 years.”
