Meet our Board of Trustees. They come from a diverse background of industries and with that a wealth of expertise, bringing their knowledge and values to Greenham Trust. They all live locally and meet 4 times a year.

Charles Brims – Chairman

Charles has lived near Newbury since 1985. He is chairman of McMullen & Sons Ltd (an independent family brewer) and a director of several other businesses.  He was High Sheriff of Berkshire in 2012/13 and is currently a Deputy Lieutenant for the county.

David Bailey

David has lived in the Newbury area since 1972,  he was a partner in Phillips and Drew Stockbrokers. He has continued to be an investor and non-executive Director of an eclectic range of businesses, including online payment processing, publishing, car parking management, motor retailing and fund management.

Zoe Benyon

Zoe lives in Englefield, West Berkshire, with her husband, three step sons and two sons. She is a governor of Englefield CE Primary School and a trustee of Englefield Charitable Trust and Ufton Court.

Julian Cazalet

Julian was a partner in Cazenove & Co for many years. He divides his time between London and Hungerford. He also chairs the Mary Rose Permanent Endowment Fund.

Sir Peter Michael CBE

Sir Peter has had a distinguished career in high technology enterprises and many varied business activities. He has lived in the Newbury area since 1970 and until recently was Chairman of Classic FM the radio company that he founded in 1992.

Robert Woods CBE

Robert is the Chairman of Southampton and London Gateway Container Terminals. Formerly he was Chief Executive of the P&O Group, a Director of Cathay Pacific Airways and Chairman of the Sea Cadets and the Mission to Seafarers.

Biddy Hayward

Biddy was a founder director of The Really Useful Group and has produced award-winning theatre productions both in London and on Broadway. More recently she set up Arenapal, a specialist multi-media licensing agency that represents many of the UK’s foremost performing arts photographers and leading institutions

Justyn Waterworth

Justyn is currently the CEO of a retail franchise company.  His early career was in the property sector with JLL in London, and then Hong Kong, before transitioning to IT on his return to the UK.  This culminated in co-founding, growth and subsequent sale of Derive Logic, a software asset management business.  Justyn was more recently co-founder of FounderCatalyst, an online legal and investor management platform for early-stage funding.

Malcolm Morris

Malcolm became qualified as a Certified Accountant and was a partner in a local firm of accountants until 1982, since when he has been working in the Newbury area as a financial consultant.

Justin Barnes

Justin serves on the Board of NunaBio, a synthetic biology company making DNA. Until recently, he was CEO of 30 Technology, leading the build-out of its tissue repair products and exiting on successful completion of its sale to a global industry leader.

He has been a non Executive Director of Rayner Surgical Group; MD of Scapa Healthcare and a partner in a life sciences venture capital firm. Prior to his business career, he was a soldier in the British Army.

Fiona Spencer-Jones

Fiona has spent her career in Property Fund Management and latterly was COO of CBRE Global Investors which is one of the worlds’s largest real estate companies.  For six years she has also served on the Global Management Board of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors.

Sarah Scrope DL

Sarah has lived in West Berkshire all her life where she runs her family’s farming business.  She is a Deputy Lieutenant of  Berkshire and she served as High Sheriff in 2017 – 2018.  Having been a school Governor of three schools over twenty years she has a strong interest in education.
