Greenham Trust Monthly Newsletter – January 2023 Edition
Greenham Trust January 2023 Newsletter
Welcome to Greenham Trust’s January
newsletter!
It's 2023! And we have certainly hit the ground running with lots
of exciting projects in the pipeline! Our grants team
is here to offer guidance, support, and updates on all
our funding opportunities.
Following
the success of £25k in a Day last year, we have just launched our
fundraising challenge for 2023 - The
Escalator. This is a great opportunity for
two local charitable organisations to supercharge their fundraising
and raise over £50k in matched funding in one week. Each day
you will be required to raise a set amount of money which will be
matched by Greenham Trust. As the week progresses the amount
to be raised increases, and so does the level of matched
funding. So, on Monday you will need to raise £500 to receive
£500, and by Friday you will need to raise £4800 to receive a huge
£24,000. There will be two opportunities to take part in this
scheme – one in June and the other in September.
The closing date for applications is Friday 31 March and Friday 30 June respectively.
1. The Good Exchange is a Not-for-Profit

all; it costs nothing to use The Good Exchange website!
2. To accept a funding offer: you must print,

Then you will need to upload your signed copy of the Terms when
you accept.
3. Trust Top Up is valid for 6 months only!
You must look out for your offer expiry date.

Greenham Trust and West Berkshire Council have
created this emergency appeal to help local charitable and
voluntary organisations support people who are struggling to pay
for food and daily costs due to the rapid rise in food prices,
energy costs and inflation. Applicants can apply for funding for
projects such as:
Warm spaces with activities Foodbanks Emergency
meal provision Warm
clothing, blankets, and essential goods. Energy
efficiency projects
We are reviewing
grant applications on a regular basis and have just awarded the
first grants from this scheme to Citizens Advice West Berkshire
and West Berkshire Homeless to help with fuel poverty.
Alongside our joint appeal with West Berkshire Council for Cost
of living, we are also running a parallel scheme with Basingstoke
and Deane Borough Council. This £85,000 fund will support cost of
living projects across the Borough. Entries for this appeal have
now closed but we’ve had over 16 separate charities and
organisations apply for funding. The cost-of-living crisis looks
to be remaining with us for a while yet, so its vitally important
that we continue to keep supporting these charities and
organisations in the important work they are doing in our local
communities.
Youth Distribution Grants 2023!
Each year we invite
pupils from local secondary schools to review projects and award
grants with a combined decision. This year it's the 20th
Anniversary of the Youth Distribution Committee!
The maximum available to distribute will be £15,000 and the
maximum grant award per project is £1500, ideal for small, local
projects!
The deadline for applications to be considered in this grant
meeting is Monday
20th February 2023.
