Greenham Trust’s £5,000 Golden Ticket debuts at Pitch to the Panel 2019

Greenham Trust is excited to announce that its Golden Ticket will make its debut at the eagerly awaited Pitch to the Panel event at The Corn Exchange, 8 May 2019. All members of the audience will be entered into a prize draw to win the Golden Ticket. The winner can choose to allocate a total of £5,000 funding from Greenham Trust to one local charitable project or split the total across a number of charitable projects on The Good Exchange.

Pitch to the Panel is an exciting way for local charities to secure substantial funding for their projects while enabling local residents to learn about and engage with charities in the area. In its fourth year, the Pitch to the Panel event is becoming increasingly popular, with the number of charitable projects applying to ‘pitch’ this year at a record high. The event itself will showcase 6 projects, vying for a donation from Greenham Trust of up to £100,000.

The audience comprises a broad range of attendees including local charities looking to find out how to attain funding from Greenham Trust and use The Good Exchange platform to increase awareness and donations. Local business representatives and local residents also attend making the event an excellent opportunity to network with people interested in and actively supporting the local community.

For companies looking to put the community at the heart of their business or wanting to support a local project with a financial donation or a gift of staff time, the evening offers a rich forum of inspiration, ideas and an opportunity to meet real people working on real projects.

“Pitch to the Panel is a great way to introduce residents to some of the charitable initiatives happening in our area. For anyone looking to offer some of their time to volunteer, this is a really good event to attend as there will be a significant number of charity representatives present,” said Chris Boulton, chief executive for Greenham Trust.

“The Golden Ticket is a novel addition to the evening, giving the winning audience member the opportunity to make a very personal impact on a charity of their choice. We ensure that our donations benefit local projects, so the winner will get to choose a charity from the list of projects within Greenham Trust’s remit and that is listed on The Good Exchange.

“Golden Tickets will also make an appearance at other Greenham Trust events throughout 2019, including Step up For Good in October. So, get involved to be in with a chance to win the Golden Ticket that will make a real impact on a local charity of your choice.”
