Greenham Trust is pleased to announce that a total of £330,000 will be available for reactive grants in 2019.   The funds will be distributed in two grant rounds, one in the Spring and one in the Autumn.  Applications are now invited via www.thegoodexchange.com for the Spring grant round for which the closing date is 8 March 2019.

In 2018 the Trust awarded £318,000 across 124 different charitable projects ranging from equipment for a local scout group, through youth counselling to refurbishment of community buildings.  1st Ufton Nervet Scout Group were awarded £3500 for the purchase of new tents and camping equipment, Thatcham Methodist Church were awarded £2370 towards building renovations to improve facilities for the various community groups which use the building and Time to Talk were awarded £6000 towards their youth counselling service.

Luisa Rayner, Office Manager at Time to Talk West Berkshire said, “We are absolutely delighted to receive a grant from Greenham Trust towards the counselling service we offer to vulnerable young people in West Berkshire. The Good Exchange website made applying for the grant simple and straightforward, and this makes such a difference to the number of young people we can support.”

Chris Boulton, Chief Executive of Greenham Trust said  “This is just one example of how reactive grant funding can help make a difference.  Reactive grants are ideal for applicants seeking under £30,000 in funding.  We welcome applications from all local charities, large or small and we encourage any charitable organisation with a funding need to visit www.greenhamtrust.com/our-funding, to check their eligibility and apply.”

Applications can be submitted via the website at www.thegoodexchange.com and should be received by Friday 8 March 2019. Eligible applications will then be reviewed, and funding awarded to successful projects in April. Applications will also be considered for Trust Top-Up, a scheme where Greenham Trust offers up to £5,000 of matched funding against public and company donations made on-line via The Good Exchange.
