Greenham Trust launches inaugural Charity Awards Event to recognise and celebrate the fantastic work of our local voluntary sector.

Greenham Trust is delighted to announce that it will be hosting an Awards Evening on Thursday 2nd November at Newbury Corn Exchange to acknowledge and reward the great work of local charitable organisations, volunteers and fundraisers to improve the lives of others in West Berkshire and north Hampshire. This will be a fantastic opportunity for everyone to get together, collaborate and celebrate the incredible achievements of the voluntary sector. The awards are open to all charitable organisations, large and small, whether a local branch of a national charity or a small community based group. As well as awards across different charitable sectors, there are awards for Volunteer of the Year, Trustee of the Year and Fundraiser of the Year. Tickets for the Awards event are free of charge and tickets for the After Party are subsidised at £11.25 including the booking fee. Both must be booked in advance through the Corn Exchange Box Office. Dress code for the evening is Smart Casual.

Project Of The Month!

This month, we would like to congratulate Newbury Riding for the Disabled for their new Outdoor Arena! Greenham Trust supported Newbury RDA for their Outdoor Arena Project. They applied to take part in our 25k In A Day Challenge last year. Over 80 participants took part in Newbury Riding for the Disabled’s 5km sponsored walk/run. They exceeded their target and raised over £10k and with £25k of matched funding from Greenham Trust, the total sum raised was just over £40k! As well as the benefits of being outdoors in the fresh air, the new facility will provide a safer surface to ride on and enable riders to increase their range of experience and sense of achievement. Jill Owen, Grants Manager at Greenham Trust was delighted to attend their official opening. Well done to all the team at Newbury RDA!  For any further information, advice, and guidance, you may contact the Grants Team at: grantenquiries@greenhamtrust.com
