Welcome to Greenham Trust’s May Newsletter!

Our grants team is here to offer advice, guidance, support, and updates on all our funding opportunities.

Tenants Distribution Meeting

As part of our 25th anniversary in 2022, Greenham Trust established a Tenant Distribution Committee, where tenants from Greenham Business Park have a say about the projects the Trust supports, with up to £100,000 per annum to allocate. The giving area covers West Berkshire and neighbouring wards of North Hampshire. The deadline for applications is Monday 12th June 2023. Please ensure your application is live on The Good Exchange platform by the deadline date for consideration.

Q&A Drop In Session

In order for our sector to be effective, it is essential that we support eachother, understand how our services work together and influence decision-making by our statutory partners that will ultimately have the best impact on those we support.  We have setup a drop in session with our friends at Volunteer Centre West Berkshire for charitable organisations at Broadway House in Newbury. Come and ask questions, or just pop in and say hi!  VCWB have also set up several established and new forums that allow the sector to achieve the above aims. Follow this link for more details.

Greenham Trust Blog

Greenham Trust have started a blog to share information we receive from all types of charities; we’ve been focussing on the Cost of Living crisis which is very much still with us as well as other subjects. Citizens Advice West Berkshire have, very kindly, just written a guest blog for us sharing their sobering statistics on the Cost-of-Living Crisis. Please take some time to read it here www.greenhamtrust.com/blog

Project Of The Month!

This month, we would like to share with you a project by Berkshire MS Therapy Centre.

This project will provide:

• Counselling for people with MS and their families
• Relaxation/mindfulness classes – instruction courses and ongoing support
• A large communal area at the Centre with refreshments providing an opportunity for the members to meet and support each other
• Support from a dedicated Membership and Volunteer Officer who will be on hand to support individuals
• A friendly community where people with MS feel welcome
• Access to up-to-date news about MS and about other support that could support the members

Greenham Trust has offered matched funding to this project up to £5000.

Today is World MS Day! If you would like to donate to their project, follow this link and make it count for them.
